Yeah - used to have to EARN the position. Now it can be "bought" with a few backhanders to the admins

When you say EARN you really mean you had to be a spammer!

Hello. Now go away and die in a corner please.

Oh and make sure you do it quietly.

that's more like it :)

Wouldn't be the same coming here if we didn't get a shedload of abuse hurled our way!

Maybe the abuse wouldn't happen if the majority of daoc'ers that post here made an effort beyond trying to get a rise out of the general people.

Posting pointless threads and single line replies followed by 13 line signatures are vaguely annoying, and when it happens 30 times I can understand why you get told to 'cnut off and die'.

My take on the issue is that if you want to post here then try to 'fit in'; don't just pointlessly spam, don't just go out of your way to wind people up, and don't post rubbish threads. When the idiots do that (on both sides) all that happens is a massive shitload of tubthumping with both sides calling each other names. Any daocer that posts here is called a twat, and the doac boards get the quasi weekly 'OFGM ONNE OF AER LOT GOT FLAMMED LETS INVADEE!!!!!!!1'.

If you've got no interest in the other side then just don't post there.

well i've been reading general forums for a while anyway. and yes i like a good 'discussion' flim, so what? :p deity's still what it used to be, but you don't like it any more =)

i expected a few more foads tbh, in true general style ;)

in fact the main reason i've not actually posted before was because the name / sig looks stupid compared to everyone else's - just made for daoc etc :)

Novamir, more and more daoc players are posting in the various forums. Post where ya please m8 as long as its not a la Krypt ;)

Actually up untill the recent nastiness, i thought the DAOC situation was going quite well... There was only a handful of them posting here, and they just posted occasionally in specific topics.

If they're not spamming, starting stupid threads, or being a twat like that... well... twat "Teh Krypt", then that's ok :)

Bit of a contradiction in terms? :)

There is an option at the bottom to turn off your sig for specific posts.

Actually you only seem to post spam like that in response to yog et al.
Just surprised you've escaped the excalibur forums, and only one 'foad' so far, impressive.

Exclusion, backstabbing and elitism are the three main skills which you must master to become uber in DAoC fast. Not to mention the frontal lobotomy required to endure the ridiculously boring level grind.

It's the only game I've ever played that left me feeling brain dead after a couple hours of XPing. Luckily I quit before all I had left were the 3 brain cells required to run DAoC :/

shame you found it like that. when you get in a guild and get to know your guild mates it's more like chatting on IRC whilst levelling. and if you make good groups with baf mobs to xp with then you can level fast :) </daoctalk>

levelling fast isn't the appeal for me :) (hence I'm still not 50)

it's a fun game to explore, find things out... once you've explored it all then you've got the friends to keep you going (assuming you've joined a guild or whatever and haven't just kept to your own little solo world)

Tbh I don't hurl, tbh. I'd rather drop a shed on your head from a great height to make sure the job was done right.
