Had the game about 2 mnths now after coming over from daoc.I love this game and im not a harderned sw fan either,i was put off the game by a few friends who said it was rubbish,How wrong could they be but they are hardened pvp lets lvl this item for a month solid just so i can get a bit of an edge on everybody else then get zerged anyway.So i started scouring the formums but much to my dissapointment they seem to be full of ex daoc whiners that want to be uber.Not for me im gonna be a creature handler,bio engineer what people are missing is the scale of this game,yeh grind if ya want or just go chill out in a cantina and have fun,For me theres nothing better than before i go to work making a camp on top of a mountain with me pet,listening to the wind blow.Its all very atmospheric and very absorbing,or maybe going fishing with me mates.Well maybe its me getting old but i play these games for fun and belive me the last year of daoc was not..I play games for fun and escapeism..So lets have a thread about how much fun the game is and a positive outlook instead of whine..whine whine..he owned me cos he had a better spec or weapon

Here,Here at last somebody with a possitive outlook,yes the game is very good the only downer i had with it was the holo grinding for jedi,But i believe thats getting fixed soon so gl and enjoy

I have been playing SWG since early Beta3 and still play almost every day... i must admit i was a slave to the holocron for a while and it did change my view of the game ... so i deleted my character and started from scratch on a European server.

Now I have mastered my chosen professions, i have completed almost every quest, killed every mob... I have battled alongside Dark Jedi and i have taken a beating from the a few Light Jedi. Took part in PVP raids that lasted hours, and defended my citys head quaters from rebel combat medic attacks (that lasted minutes )

There was a recent feature on the official site that showed pictures of the early beta tests, it reminded me of the first time i loaded SWG and found myself standing outside the star port in Kor Vella, Corellia... I turned around to see a vast open landscape with butterflys and small rabbits hopping about. As i took a few steps towards them, music blerted out of my speakers and i nearly shat my pants, a few seconds later i was lying on my back looking up at the sky as the fluffy little rabid bunny hopped away.

i knew this was the game for me

at the moment i do think the game is broken... but i also understand what the development team is trying to do.

after publish 10 you will find this game totally different, the uber template's should be a thing of the past and every profession will have its merits and weakness... players will have to group again to run missions, and hunts will be like the good old days, 10 or more people fratically trying to stay alive on the adventure planets

I've been in SWG since early....two weeks ago

Finally got a lovely character to play, profession goals are set and for a very long time i got laid...ahem..i mean...was totally exizled when i got two parts of a bone armor. Never in DAoC i got the same feeling of "ooh aah" by putting on an armor.
