torrents on steroids basically,

though you usually have to sign up to a service and buy like 40gb of downloads (usually about a 5er) but they offer uncapped downloads and newsgroups/servers work in some weird way that im sure someone else can explain better, but they download segments of files (from diff urls?) usually 50-60mb each, but at like 250kbps or w/e, so you can literally get films as quickly as you can watch em (its more akin to downloading from filefront or something that p2p)

think one i use to use was called demon-net or something
