The end of season 3 really found a nice pace once they got everything in due to the shit season 2 strike

You what now? Season 3 was an abomination, even worse than the debacle that was season 2. There was no nice pace, it was worse than your average smallville storyline.

Meh, better that any of the season 2 or 3 episodes, but still far too removed from the brilliance of season 1. The characters have lost their ability to grow, and anything that made them good has been destroyed by the constant full circle scripts we have had to endure.

Seemed like a reasonable start.

I think the fact they burned through seasons 2/3 too quickly just makes you feel like you've seen it all before though. I just hope they keep the 5th volume as one large story arc instead of moving too quickly through it.

It should all be about the characters, not the powers.

It just seems like the same old script from season 1 and 2 all over again though no?

Peter trying to rediscover himself again, ignoring his family after reconciling with them aft the ends of 2 and 3. Already being drawn in to help fight the "enemy"

Claire - oh look claire is trying to be a normal young teenager yet again, hiding from her past, and it's caught up with her, again! More Bennet family angst as well, same old shit, Company and marital unrest.

Matt - still struggling with his wife and the use of his powers.

Hiro / Ando - from comedy genius in season 1, to one hair brained scheme after another. How many times are we going to see them try and find a new purpose and new way to save the world?

And last of all, yet another new group of evil power wielders, led by a power hungry maniac. Oh and the company is back, again.

Yep. You are pretty much right.

Tho on the other hand we have Syllar... hes the Magneto of the series. And I hope we get the chance of watching a tormented Sylar btwn good n evil, and facing the new evil guy (any1 managed to guess the powers of this Samuel guy?)

I gave up after 3, i loved series 1, 2 was alright but then started getting a bit sick of "Oh Noes he's dead...wait he's alive again" and then clair and peter turning evil by havign black slicked back hair....superman did that in the movie, think of an original way to show eviiiilness tbh!

anyway its a shame because I bloody loved the first series.

See Sylar and Peter were great originally - two sides of the same coin. But I'm bored of Sylars internal conflict, they messed him up with the whole "I'm the Petreilli's 3rd son thing", not to mention him trying to be good. Thought the storyline with his real father was good. I just feel that those to characters had so much to offer and were destroyed by really poor writing. I have to say that I did think Sylar being in Parkmans head was a nice little story though.

Who is Samuel please?

So far the new people are;
Old guy who has Hiro's power hence why they want Hiro.
Woman who is tattooed and can tell you information about the person.
Main irish leader guy who can tattoo. Seems to work with the hot naked woman alot. Also strangles the fast guy to force him to obey.
Fast dude with the knives.

The biggest problem they have is people not wanting to use their powers. See below;

TV show idea guy: Boss, I have a great idea for a TV show.
Boss: whats that?
TV show idea guy: There are people with super powers, but they dont want to use them!!!!!!
Boss: So it's technically a show about normal people doing normal things?
TV show idea guy: Yeh...

We all can see how they will go back to using their powers. It's so obvious.

Vas, do you mean the Carnival leader guy? He can manipulate ink as far as I can tell. So when he tats someone, he can control the ink and use it to harm them.
