Its a audacious move by the aloof Ms Dion who assume people will actually _want_ to copy her crap, bearing in mind that 99% are cover versions. Unfortunately my wife owns and watches her videos, personally I cannot bear watching nice songs getting tortured to death by her ghastly voice.

Well, Phillips have said that these cannot be called CDs for that reason. It's all a bit of a grey area legally, until a test case goes to court.

Well the RIAA and labels are basically painting themselves into a corner, from which they'll have to think of more intelligent ways to extricate themselves rather than this hamfisted, heavily flawed approach.
