Just to clear it up would you like to see Vidic go right through the back of Henry with no intention of winning the ball just to ruin a Arsenal attack??

No not at all, But I'd like to see Vidic muscleing Henry around at the start and being psyichal from the get go, too show him hes not gunna be able to run around and tear us apart like he could given too much room

Everyone reckons Vidic is some kind of hard case nutter cos he has a shaved head and is from some god forsaken Eastern European country, when in reality hes not even big compared to the S to the enderos.

Then please understand I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT FAIR TACKLES.

I do not want to see fouls :)

and FYI Senderos was injured at the start of the season and has only recently just came back to full fitness thats why Djourou was patnering Toure

If it takes a few dirty challenges too make him make mistakes im quite happy with that, just like we did to Reyes :p

But on a funnier note just found this quote from a friend

"In 1995 Zinedine Zidane may have become another high profile signing for Blackburn Rovers during the Jack Walker era. Kenny Dalglish had wanted to sign both Zidane and Christophe Dugarry who were playing in France for FC Girondins de Bordeaux, however Walker reportedly said to Dalglish: "Why do you want to sign Zidane when we have Tim Sherwood?" "

It only takes a cuple of tackles to stir Henry up to destroy a team :) Just look at Danny Mills :) So Vidic can go for it

Bleh, aside from the odd wonder goal, Henry has never been that devestating towards Man utd, and as far as fair play goes in this game, an Arsenal fan can never turn up his nose at it and scoff, I seem to remember about 4/5 Arsenal players getting reprimanded by the FA for what was appaling seens when Van missed that Penalty :p

Yeah but look at how Barca locked him down in the CL final soze, regardless of whether the tackles were fair or fouls or whatever, he simply couldn't do anything.

I dont think we will have much problem breaking down your defense anyway with the form Fabregas, Henry, Van Persie and Hleb are in anyway tbh.

Will prolly be a freescoring game again yeah, 2-3 United, we are just a little more potent infront of goal this season, and I fancy Rooney to step up to the big occasion and maybe get a goal or 2, and a fresh Giggs back in the squad, and we all remember what he can do against Arsenal :)

Il go for 2-1 Arsenal, lets see if our defense is mature enough to stand up to the likes of Rooney without the protection of Gilberto.

You gunna need a good game from Flamini, but he ussualy steps up in the big games, who are your unfortunate souls up against Giggsy and Ronny anyway? Clichy and who will be right back? Eboue? that guys a joke :p

Clichy is fast enough to mark Ronaldo and i think Lauren could be back in that game to play right back.

I agree this season was the first time you tried to play us with out kicking us off the ball to stop us playing football. I do do not mean hard tackles where you win the ball like you say they are expected. What i mean is kicking a player with no intention of winning the ball to stop play while you get everyone back behind the ball.

Just like Savage was doing yesterday you can't call that good football and i hate to see managers do that to get a result. But maybe it because im spolit because i watch a team that do not need to do it to win.

One last time i do not mind a game where people tackle for the ball thats fine i do not like when they kick you with out going for the ball and if you think thats real football then ohh well.

And my last excuse when we lost was not getting kicked it was playing a weakened team so try again.

So savages tackle was valid yeah great one well done

You are still missing the point.

So you are saying the 3 games we played you last season we kicked you off the park?

Though a good player i think Clichy is still inexperienced in many ways, and when he comes up against Ronaldo he may be drawn into conceeding many freekicks. He is going to really have to watch himself in that regards.

Should be a good weekend of football next week though, and look forward to the match.

And Soze, to complain about fouls as an Arsenal fan is indeed comical. They receive so many cards, especially reds in the past few years it goes to show that they dont care about just flattening an opponent when they feel they need to. Nothing wrong with a good hard tackle, and though it may give a freekick away it makes tactical sense to make a technical foul when the opposition is trying to break. You will find every manager will be acceptant of this kind of play, especially against gifted players. This is why Ronaldo, Henry etc will often be on the receiving end of clipped ankles, pushes in back, shirt pulls etc. It will disturb their balance and begin to anger then etc.

Do I accept it? Yes, because at every level of play this happens. It part of the tactical side of the game and every team uses it. I know throughout my footballing career as a defender and a midfielder I would do whatever necessary to harrass an opponent.

Great approach to football...

Eboue? that guys a joke

In my eyes he's better than Gary Neville, hardly a joke anyway. Very close to the best right back in the league.

Senderos and Djourou were the swiss one a two for the world cup so i do not think they really need to be doubted as defenders

Djourou didn't play that much in the world cup, before Senderos got injured at least.. if my memory serves me right :p

Just cos Gilberto doesn't do the flashy stuff like Scholes (although he has scored a fair few goals) he is absolutely all over the pitch when he plays and protects a sometimes vulnerable Arsenal back four superbly.

And Senderos is just a better version of Vidic.

How many games have you lost this season?

Yeah he has been doing a great job, except for the games where Arsenal actually have a fight on thier hands.

No sorry what i meant was i enjoyed this game alot because it was two teams playing football.

So fingers crossed the game at the emirates will be played the same way so it is a enjoyable game.

Fair enough i will not argue as i did not watch the Swiss games but the Arsenal player watch said he played in every game maybe only as a sub

Im not worried about Giggs or Rooney. Ronaldo and Scholes keep them quiet and we stand a chance. And for me Eboue is anything but a Joke one of Arsenals most improved players. And he will be a great if he stops his Lehman over reactions.

such awful quality, for the first 50 seconds i could barely see the ball

though really, was way to much hype over this, boring:(
It got alot of hype because it was classic counter attacking football it started with blackburn taking a corner then Henry ran with the ball from inside his own half, went round a player passed to Cesc, Cesc then laid it on a plate for Henry to put a screamer into the top corner. So it was a long run then good passes then a screamer. I suppose it depends what type of goals you like.

After seeing it, it just felt well to hyped.

But think I have to agree, if I had seen the game I would prolly think the same as the once hyping it.

I used to join in all these big discussions about football, then i realised you can argue blind in the face and the opposing teams fans will still disbelieve you or pickup on some pedantic point.

Hope Man Utd beat ARSEnal, think they have a good chance but you cant exactly rule out either team.

The new ball they are using in the Prem has led to too many "great" goals. The ball is too light and moves about like a wasp on steroids. Bloke at work said his mate's team started using it in their Sunday league for a while but soon got rid of it as it was just silly. It's got to the stage where it's undermining the value of the goals as I can't help wondering how much is the ball as opposed to actual skill.

Bleh didn't know we're stuck with it for 5 years :( Yesterday summed it up when Given, one of the top 3 keepers in the Prem, had to parry one hit straight at him because it was moving all over the place. Oh well, Sky will be happy as they can rave on about all the "great" goals being scored :m00:
