My update.dat looks like this

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/catacombs/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/catacombs/mpatch.dat

I figured the game was free up to catacombs yeah?

1) How do I get a trial account without downloading the 1.9gb files i've seen all over the internet?

2) Why after changing my update.dat does it seem to load the EU client? I looked at the New Account button but it takes me to Goa.

Have installed the daoc portal and i'm running the patcher for the us client (including tgame.dll).

im on some mythic update window but it's kinda weird looking

If you are after getting the US Catacombs client your update.dat file should look like this

patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/catacombs/mpatch.dat
patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/catacombs/mpatch.dat

I seem to remember my client looking a bit like yours at first but it sorted itself out once everything was patched and working.

u mean just use ur europe-darkness rising n change the /update patch?
well thats what i did n after getting da ~400 mb classic zones is fine but after i went to SI game was over ... when i try to log now the cam crashs to desktop. the funiest: welcome to daoc-europe ... please choose a server ...

.... any clue whats the prob? dont really wanna download 6.4gb + patching as us only offers SI download, cata update , DR update ... its a pain

Has your Trial account for USA finished and turned into a proper account (takes 14 days)?
You cannot purchase Dark Rising or Lab Minotaur without the account completing the trial period. It may be you are running the game on the Darkness Rising client?

Excellent You should do the Elemental quest from Ludlow, you probably know but it's 3 bubs reward up will about 45 (goes to about 2.5 bubs). 110g quest reward too!

Will be nice to group up, be like old times
