Hello, I can't connect to 90% of CS servers. I have all the updates installed and everything but there's only a few servers I can connect to. It started when I replaced my old motherboard.

When I try to connect it says

connected
server xxx

And that's it there might be a little HDD noise but thats it, nothing else happens.:m00:

As soon as it says connected and gives the server ip, type /retry into the console. Or wait till the HD noise stops then do a /retry, either way it should let you connect.

The problem may be the file custom.hpk in your CS directory, just delete it to be sure.

I do a retry and it goes thru the connection process and nothing happens.

BUILD 2056 SERVER(0CRC)
Server # 110

And that it nothing else happens. I have got rid of the custom pak file but still no joy.

try adding -dev to the CS shortcut command line and run CS.

This might provided additional information during the load and may help identify the problem.
