OKay there are a few possibilities;

1) You gave you CD-key to someone else, with WON's fancy new system only one person per cd-key.

2) You have not updated HL to 1.1.0.6 OR Cs to 1.1 OR your patches for either one were corrupt. If you dont have the patch get them from here: 1106 @ ftp://ftp.barrysworld.com/halflife/patches/1106/
1.1 @ ftp://ftp.barrysworld.com/halflife/mods/counterstrike/v1.1/

Okay assuming none of the above works try this>

HL-generations has a HL cd and a CS cd, install the one you did not use the cd-key of last time. If this is HL then you will need to d/l the CS MOD 1.1 full patch from the above ftp. YOU should have a different unique WON ID for each cd-key. Next complain to valve/sierra software that some cunt has nicked you cd-key, tell them which one it is they will ban it and give you another one hopefully.

k thanx for the tips but the wierd thing is that it only happened last night and i have been playing with that certain cd key for about 1 year now. i agree some bastard must have stolen my cd key because at one stage many moons ago i did have cd key auth problems but never like this.

do u have valve's e-mail so i can get very annoyed with them?

oh and by the way i have NEVER lent out this cd key to anyone. also i got the H-L generations before the retail CS came out

Ahh okies, so you dont have the version with the standalone CS?

If your WON ID has been nicked its probably some wanker who happened to generate your cd-key randomyl with a key-gen.

Nah dont have the contact details, check your manula or help files. Or maybe SAS will respond and give you them........
