Having a slight problem, my boss deleted his emails on his iPhone and of course when it synced it deleted them in his outlook, I used the 'recover deleted email' option in tools and it gave me a list of emails I pressed recover and then nothing happened, the emails have not returned.

Is there anyway to get exchange to re send a weeks worth of emails? or is it a case that he has lost those emails for good?

Thanks in advance.

Do you not have a backup you can restore?

And also check the deleted items deleting them on the phone should only move it to the deleted items in Outlook not permanently delete them.

Is that Outlook configured in Cache Mode?
Or is the title misleading?

Are the mails still in the dumpster or are they now no longer there? if they are no longer there then double check recover deleted items on all folders (including root of mailbox, deleted items, inbox, etc) as individual folders can have their own dumpster repository.

exmerge the dumpster into a pst (exmerge isn't really supported with 2k7 but it works a treat if you give the account used full mailbox access) and go through it then, make sure that acticesync is also turned off so the iphone isn't being authoritive/shit and seeing the items as deleted and just stripping them off again and again.

I'll swap your problem for the one I'm currently working on with a user having his calendar royally buggered by his 2 macs running entourage (not to mention his 2 iphones, 2 ipads, blackberry and 9 secretaries with delegate access) makes me want to cry.

Thanks I'll give that a try.

Bloody hell that does sound like a bad problem, don't envy that. That's a lot of access points for one person.
