help with an old player!

im back to try out daoc once again after god knows how long it was since i last played, i was just wonderin whats what in the realms, could anyone give me some advice so i know what realm to pick!
i.e which realm is full of 10 year old noobs and whos winning ect ect.....

Any way, each realm surely has thier share of whiners. would be maybe hard to judge for those who have a realm.

maybe albs say mids, mids say hibs and hib say alb.

Changes every patch, realm that gets the most attention gains all the kiddies, then they all re-roll again next patch when their realm gets a nerfin'

Seriously tho, no realm is really "winning" atm

All realms have their fair share of idiots

Then again, all three realms have a lot of good, fun players too.

Easier to choose a class or race you like the look of instead

If you go excal, Id say avoid Alb, over-populated by spotty kids who just bought the game and cant be arsed to work hard at a char.
Hib lacks numbers and nice ppl (from what I hear), so my sympathetic side would point you there.
Mid - seems we like to have a laff and enjoy the game, and have something a lot of ppl have forgotten, that is to have fun

Prydwen, Hib seems very strong there, always seem well matched all round, not your typical kiddified place either. Mids the underdog here as I have seen so far by numbers etc.
Alb there is not too shabby, seems to be too many mini-guilds and little team play, so that could use a lil work.

So if you want to avoid the kids n that, Excal Mid and Prydwen Hib (alb there close 2nd).

Seriously, Bladelore: if you don't have any old characters lying around that you wish to continue, then decide on a class that you like the look of, then if you want my opinion join that realm on Prydwen. I dream of lower numbers in RvR

I'd recommend either Alb or Hib on Prydwen and Midgard on Excalibur.

Ignore most of the shite people post about the l;3333333333333333t doods on Excalibur and Prydwen being the all nice and cosy server.

There's complete and utter morons on every server and in every realm.

Read up on the classes, find one you think you might enjoy playing and then join that realm on Prydwen if you'd like to be in a realm with not as many people (Exalibur has a higher population of players is the only point I'm making here by the way) or on Excalibur if you'd like a more active realm at all times of the day.

Oh yeah, and basically ignore the vast majority of the stuff posted here on Barrysworld, it's not fondly known as Barryswhinge for nowt

easy one mate go albion excalibur and be minstrel , necromancer or sorc, bedst class in albion


Minstrel climb wall mezz etc , necro is just well evil necro some enemy people take it as 2 enemys , and sorc got bolt range aoe mezz PLUS funny all charming , charm and ofcause new 10 min power regen 5 buff

If you want a realm full of power gamers, and rule abusers go Midguard (most of these play here) on Excal.

If you want a realm that totaly lacks coordination, and more of its fair part of noobs go for Albion on Excal.

If you want to be the underdog and a greater amount of cheating go Hibernia on Excal.

For PvE go Prydwen

Albs/Mids about the same mix, Hibs more group friendly.

lol, i cant seem to read one lousy thread without it comes to being rude or something, but to the topic:

I play Mid/Excal, i think this realm and server seems good if you like RvR and Savage seems a good choice if you have no problem using Positional Styles...
But as said earlier, find a class you like and choose the realm of the class, and just /ignore whiners and such
