Help w/ HL GOTY

Trying to help my son get his Digital Paintball game going, using HL...but it keeps telling me I need to update from the 1.0.0.5 version I have to a newer version. Where do I get this update from ? I've been looking but cant find the right link. Any help would really be appreciated !!

The latest version of HL is Steam. Thats going to give you lots of problems if you don't do anything but play digital paintball.

All the HL updates can be found on the game.net ftp.

You will want 1110. The full install is 82mb.
