For some reason my googling skills have fallen short :(

I need some dual core wire to connect together some 5.5x2.1mm, this sort of thing:

View: https://www.amazon.co.uk/sourcingmap-Black-Plastic-2-1x5-5mm-Connector/dp/B016FCDW92/ref=pd_cp_23_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=C70RRVAGYSX2M0237V35

It'll be used at 9V and only has to carry an maximum of 2A, almost certainly way less, but it needs to be around 3mm total diameter. I can't believe I've not found any, it should be easy. I would much rather have round cable than 2 strand flat stuff.

Any ideas?

No help, but if you're buying online you'll be saddled with a generic length spool. Like 10 meters, and then from multiples thereof.

Best bet if you only need a modest length (hur hur) is to go pester a specialist to see if they have some scraps.

Thanks Teedles, it's not length that worries me it's thickness :)

It does depend on the supplier, there are a lot of places that sell roughly the sort of wire I'm after by the meter, but it is all too thick, 6mm or there abouts. I only need a meter or so.

You want 2-core figure 8 dc power cable. There's loads about. Make sure whatever you connect to it has a fuse value less than the max current draw the cable will allow.

Maplin will sell that stuff no problem. Halfords will too, in their audio department.

Thanks Tom, figure 8 would work but I'm trying to find the round section cable if i can. I can find loads, but nothing under 5mm total diameter.

I think you may struggle. Finding a 2-core non-coaxial cable of that diameter, that can safely handle 2 amps, is a tough ask. There's a reason why most cables doing what you ask are the diameter they are. Even 2A USB cables tend to be quite thick. You could try here and on CPC too:

Alpha Essentials | Industry Standard Cable | Alpha Wire

But be wary of buying cable that looks right from diameter and appearance, but which will burn your premises down one day.

To be honest 2 amps was just a guess, and i knew it was too high. All I'm trying to do is make my own versions of this

Truetone 5-Channel Daisy Chain for 1-Spot at Gear4music.com

There are loads of these around, but they all have too much distance between the connectors. Most effects pedals only draw 100mA at most and i doubt if run more than 5 on any single chain so actually it's unlikely to go much over 0.5A.
