help needed here

when i tried to log in just now the mythic updater updated and downloaded a patch nowwhen i try to login it says account or password incorrect???

its this stupid bug that sends you on US Server. theres a fix just cant find it atm

the fix is to change your update.dat to the EU version and patch back to the EU version.

Try typing this in notepad:

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

Then save it and rename the file as UPDATE.DAT
Put the file in the root of DAoC or SI. It will replace the old file that patchs from the US server.

that means you're still on the US patch version. make sure the user.dat is correct and try "verify all files".

if that still doesn't work, you'll need to reinstall.

Or you just can reinstall your daoc, I've got that bug lots of times. Always works out if you reinstall the game.

where do i find the user.dat and how do i know its correct??

Try tying this is notepad and copy into your installation directory:

I AM A MONG WAS FOOLISH TO THINK I COULD GET HELP FROM BARRYSFLAME.

i did what the other guys said (exept reinstall) but it didn work just tell me where i find users.dat and how i see if its correct and ill be out of ur way

I`ve had this problem loads of times, and pasting the update.dat file into the SI directory solved it everytime, keep trying and pasting everytime it doesn`t work and eventually it will work , you can get the file from right now, or alternatively pm me your email adress and i`ll send it to you ok .

The good update.date file should look like this ok.
