Help me choose a handset.

It's contract time again, and I've been offered some handsets by my current provider.

Z250i*
S400i*
6131
6111*
6230i*
L7*

Those with stars I've pretty much ruled out for one reason or another. Any thoughts on the others? I currently have a Moto V635 which tbh is probably going to be almost as good as any of these anyway, but if I can get a free handset I may as well. I'm not a heavy talker, camera I find quite useful and MP3 is desirable but not essential.

I've not been able to find out much about the K610i, certainly not review-wise anyway.

Any opinions welcome, just use some reasoning

Nope, I was with them but they seemed to like charging me a small fortune. With o2 online now.

I have a 6230i and its great but getting dated now.

O2 have really shit phones on offer at the minute, tell them you will leave if they dont give you one of the new Sony Ericcson's.

Samms brother did that and they gave him a cracking phone.

Babs has a Motorola though Ch3t, thats why I suggested a SE for the spazmong, I prefer Nokia by miles but I think Babs will like the SE's.

Well at least he will be on the path to enlightenment, from Motorola to SE is a huge jump. I remember when I accidently owned a moto phone, I resented buying it very quickly.

I've had 2 motos now and not had anything even approaching a problem with either. I find the menus nice and easy, and everything's where I expect it to be. It's not that I was used to that either, my first mobile was a Samsung.

SE phones aim their product at the more chunky fingered gentleman, don't you remember the adverts -

'Fear not chunky fingered bumpkins, Sony Ericsson phones have keypads that are 24 inches wide'

They sold shitloads in America after that ad.

I'm shopping around now to see what other providers can offer me contract and handset-wise. This latest o2 one was great - 50 mins anytime/network and 500 texts (4 of which I could use each go to send MMS - no extra charge) for £19/month and they gave me the v635.

This time around though they're tight (same as most I suppose), so I'm toying with moving my number and starting a new contract elsewhere if I can get a similar deal. Ideally not on an 18 month contract though.

Thats a rather basic Online offer to be honest, i know for certain you could get a better deal.

Usually what sometimes they offer is that deal [Online tariffs all have 500+ texts] so dont be fooled into thinking its great because of that - try and get money off line rental, generally you could squeeze £5-10 out of them, at least on the Highstreet tariffs anyway
