Bit of a strange one this but I need to be able to scan a load of IBM servers and be able to return back a load of information. Easy done, until I get to the RSA cards.

Does anyone know if there is:
  • A process in windows
  • A registry key
  • ...
  • ***Any*** sort of fingerprint that can be seen within the windows OS that would give up the presence (or even better the IP address) of the RSA card

The fact that it's an independant add-in board which you can use to turn the servers off and on obviously means that it doesn't require a windows system to run, but you can remote desktop using it so therefore there must be some handle that you can, say, pull out using WMI or something?

HELP!!! It'll make my contract much easier and help me continue to earn modest but honest* money :)

*well, not too modest and pretty dishonest tbh, but wtf eh?!

I hear the Russian Mafia has a good dental plan ;)

In response to your question, i doubt very much you'll find a WMI call to the RSA cards as they are seperate to the operating system completly.

Only thing that springs to mind is the RSA card will probably run on a certain port on the servers IP. So you could tell if there was one in the system, but not a lot else.

Got a not too helpful response back from IBM. Ta for having a look tho m8.

Looks like I'll be doing a dump from old DNS records and trawling through for anything that looks RSA-like :(
