Mate of mine got some virus shit on msn where he talks to people and it gives them a message about pictures? Apparantly its a virus and downloads crap on your pc, tried to help him but seems to not go away anyone had this problem before and knows how to solve it? If so say.

Those two are the best. If they don´t work, he needs to reinstall Windows, OR do some intense googling to identify the problem.

You get a file on ur desktop sometimes if u do hav one from the link try deleting it.

Doesn´t work. The trick is, that there is a macro somewhere, which will create a new file or even multiple files each time you boot your computer. You need to identify the creating file.

I've had that - Firstly to stop sending the messages, re-download msn and install it, then the MSN problem gone, then i just un-installed some program forgot what it was called tho, but it was running in my alt + ctrl + delete "proccess" thing. So I un-installed it etc.

First thing to do is boot up in safe mode and run a full virus scan, cos this virus is a trojan!

I found a link that might point you to a virus scanner that will detect and remove the virus for you. Random Forum Post

I'd also make sure you have the latest version of Messenger too, as the new ones have better security built in (but not impenetrable!)
