Help for albs :)

After reading your whine for like 3 months i feel a bit sorry for you.
so here is your new fotm group. Based on my own experiences :(

2 Clerics, 1 pala, 1 mincer, 1 sorc , 2-3mercs , 0-1 arms.

try mez.
Use DEBUFF. (=win)
Hmm.. paladin.. GUARDS clerics / sorc... mm and.. slam enemy support if you got chance (otherwise mincer stuns).. Don't attack, paladins are pretty useless :/.
mercs use SNARE styles or try get pf off on enemy support.
Sos if you get bad start,,
Clerics heals ofc. Dont.. stun.. tanks.

and yea.. good luck :)

And sadly still only has half - third the defense or damage of a mid healer/savage group.

a good alb grp with capable ppl has no probs with savage grps :> (or shouldnt have any!)

A mid melee groups weakness is magic.

Try matching mercs against savages and see what happens.

isnt that a standard Alb Tank group ? dont tell me excal\albs never use that setup ? o_O

OK - more specifically BOF *2 plus magic (inc debuffs, disease etc.)

Savage = 1k damage round. Merc = 2-300. Spot the difference anyone?

dont forget the magic /assist command. Thats the only way to beat a Savage group ( Savage with 360 capped Evade, 3/4 attackers = not capped Avade rate anymore )

armsman either full pole or full 2hd
merc 50t 50dw

merc can be slash also but its nice to have a blend of dmg types (ie 2hd slash 1hdslash and a dw thrust, or a thrust pole/2hd)

clerics assign themselves to on one of the shield tanks each, when ur under attack u need to get to your tank asap for guard.

sorc u save if possible but it has to be expendable (my advice is mezz/debuff and then RUN like the wind!!)

to beat a mid savage group you need: 2x BoF 2x MoC 2xRaging Power 1xSoS 2xSoldiers Barricade 1xPrevent Flight on merc and _all_ tanks MUST have det 4/5

hibs are in alot of ways harder *if* they see u first and manage to lull, if you jump hibs tho its normally pretty easy unless all the pbaoe casters have purge/MoC up..

3mercs just doesnt work, its always better to have a mix of arms/mercs in my experience..

We do, but most are

2 Smite Clerics
1 2h paladin
1 Stealth Minstrel
1 Matter Sorc
2 Shield+Parry Mercs
1 X-bow Armsman

What - you've never seen a savage pull that? You must be walking around with your eyes shut.

Few nights running the emain cg had an award going for the highest savage damage of the night - was 1100 and something at best with regular 1k plus hits.

You hear that noise? Thats the nerf bat warming up.

Yes - I have seen that - on some lucky quads with good crits or on lowbie enemies, or on albs with chain and crappy resists ( you'd be surprised at how many of these exist ) - but you make it sound like it's 'on average' per round in general, especially since you give 200-300 as numbers for mercs.

Geez, you're getting quite tiresome, but I guess that's your goal?

I cap out on you, Hatts (or nearly). :p But then again, I do that on most targets.

Happens way more than it should.

What other tank (let alone self buffing hybrid) can pull 1k plus hits 10-15% of the time (seen varying stats posted).

Don't get us wrong... We do use /assist, always have those 3/4 people on the one target.

Unfortunately most people don't know who they should be going for first.

Maybe we should run a poll and see which guy from the standard Mid melee group should be ganked first?

well i rarely see an alb grp use assist when they do its often on me. takes a long time for a grp of alb tanks to kill me when i am slamming them / being healed

the correct alb grp setup has no problems handling a mid grp only on this server most albs did not learn correct grp setup / tactics instead they just whine its due to 'x' being an overpowered class

note 'x' changes as soon as 'x' is nerfed to a new 'x' so there will allways be an 'x' to blame as to why albs lost

carry on as u are and target the warrior first.

well try using 2 clerics and you may have some chance against savage groups... 2 clerics in alb groups here is very rare
