Help! CS Stutter ...

Lo,

Hope someone can help, I'm having problems with Counter-Strike on the Net, the problem I get is it feels like I'm walking through treacle, Sound stutters and at certain points in maps the game slows down to an unplayable level, esp when lots happening.

First off my PC Spec Before the problem started:

Celeron 400
ABit Mobo
256 Meg PC100
Creative SB Live 1024 Player
Creative GE Force 256 32 Meg
56k Pace Solo Modem

I then upgraded a few bits to:

Duron 800
Asus A7V
256 Meg PC133
Creative SB Live 1024 Player
Creative GE Force 256 32 Meg
56k Pace Solo Modem

Anyone know the problem? When I do net_graph 2 the top most graphic goes mental when things start happening on screen (Eg fighting).

Half-Life plays normally

Jimmy r u blind, he said twice he has a geforce 256 32mb card.

The problem is prob your isp as your comp sounds solid. Maybe your modem is shitty, a winmodem maybe?

Sounds like a connection issue to me.

• What ISP are you using?
• What country are you in?
• What country are the servers you are playing in?
• What is your RATE setting in CS?
• What does your ping show as in game?

Also, try starting your OWN cs server/game...and see if you're still having the same problem. If you are, then it's a PC problem (ie: your CS installation etc)...if it's ok, then it's definitely your connection.

Sorted it now, dunno what the problem was but I reinstalled CS and it is all back to normal?!? Strange

it isnt a connection problem. ive got the same problem its like your HD can't handle CS and it starts stuttering.my fps drops to around 20,after a couple of mins it gets back to normal.im dreading this happening in a clan game....
