Right, well, I looked closely at the Asus site and discovered a different BIOS file for the MB PCB revision I have. Installed it, and it POSTS fine now, just won't boot windows. In safe mode the computer resets at a mup.dll (I think) file?

oops forgot to mention the new BIOS lets me run at 133

Hving trawled the the murky depths of the internet, it seems that a few people have had this problem and it seems to be memory related.

Ensure that you memory timings are set to auto

I put the external frequency to 200, and the multiplier down to 7.5, and its running at 1.5GHz now, and booting into windows ok.

Gonna muck around a bit more, when I get back from work.

Fucking computers tbh.
