Although it was a stupid thing to do, it is only a cat at the end of the day. Would you post the same sort of thing if it was a murder case or something?

i once did that to a pound coin, though it was outside my house and not on a motorway. We then filmed and took pictures of people trying to pick it up

When we lived above a shop we also attached a £5 note to fishing wire and yanked it away when people tried to pick it up off the floor too.

Much more fun than abusing a cat

It's a small step and whether or not it's the same, certain things you just don't do to another beeing. You could also ask yourself, what the difference is between killing another person or a relative or who you'd rather kill.

That beeing said, we (The Netherlands) are (is) busy killing 40.000 scheep and goats atm, because of the Q-fever.

Its disgusting and its unnecessary cruelty. I am no veggie but I absolutely despise those that cause harm to animals. Like those little ***** that kicked that fawn to death. Cowards the lot of them.

I'm not usually one for knee jerk 'hang the bastards' reactions, but I would definitely hang those bastards.

Animals should be treated with respect, they are at our mercy.

If someone did that to my cat I wouldn't mind seeing them dead tbh...

You have a pet?

Cats are a pain the arse tbh. They roam other people's property doing damage and the owners bleat if anyone does anything to them when its their own vermin that are doing the damage to other peoples' gardens etc.

Although under normal circumstances I won't hurt a cat, I don't like them.

Cause people are lazy arses not the cats fault. The cats we've had always had a harness on and connected to a line while being outside. To many hazards in towns/city's to let your cat roam free. And you got all thoose dog owners that let their dogs run loose. All the dog poo that they think goes away when the snow melts etc etc etc.

One of our cats used to jump up on my shoulders and lay down on my neck when i was goin to the store, was really nice and warm during the cold winters :)

No they don't. Crapping in your flowerbeds is actually good for the soil. I am unsure what other damage a rampaging cat can do, maybe knock over a garden gnome here and there?

If anyone did anything to my cats I doubt I would be responsible for me actions.

My cats roam free, along with about 20 others in my local area, its good until they bring rabbits home. Not a very nice present.

You find cats tend to avoind objects rather than move things like dogs. Ive watched my cat fall off my bed cause he was trying to walk around the edge with something in the way. My dog i had would just barge it out the way

thats cruelty to pound coins that is you bastard!!!

no, seriously though I mean it's the mentality of it to actually torture a living animal like that is just (imo) repulsive, there are plenty of things I don't like but I don't go about torturing them. And I suspect it wasn't because whoever did it didn't like cats they just thought it would be fun, which is just plain damn creepy.

Stinks really bad and they damage peoples flower beds by digging them, you cat owners really should hear yourselves. Roo is right, from the cat owners point of view they can do no wrong. Not defending the actions of people harming animals, just pointing out that to non- cat owners they can be very annoying.

It kills the plants. Not much survives cat crap. Every gardener I know despises cats with a vengeance. Aside from this they go digging and if you have seedlings down they get destroyed.

Cats are in no way friends of garderners.

Yeah, yeah read my post. Some cat owners care what their cats do, our cats never left our yard, we too them to our summer house where they had 100m line to run on. But always in harness both died at 22 years of age.

I have more problem with dog owners who dont pick up the crap, let their dogs run loose. Got jumped by a dog while on bike, the owner pretty much blamed me, my cats got attacked by a loose dog while on our property, but he failed to see the other cat attacking from the side. The owner thought we should pay the vet bill, but he ended up with both ours and his own.

Most pet owners should never be allowed to have pets since they treat their pets more like accessories.

I pretty much agree with the man who domesticated a Glacier Giant. Its often as much about the owners as the animals themselves. The animals will act according to their nature and owners often fail to act accordingly to prevent situations occuring.

I've had pets when i was younger. I just find it strange that people always seem get more passionate about "revenge" or whatever over animal cruelty cases to other, more serious (imo) crimes.

Ileks, sometimes people say things when they are angry. You don't always need to take it literally.

There was a guy not far from where i live who had it as a sport to kill people's cats. He would catch them, stab them, cut off their legs and tails and skin them alive. Then he would send letters to their owners describing in detail what he'd done to their cats and how much they had screamed.

I wouldn't say the same should be done to him, but I don't know.. to some extent it would be nice to give people like this a shock of empathy for what it's like on the victim's side. Calling people sick and helping them is all good and well, but they need to be made to feel like shit for what they've done too.

I was a cat owner and my cat was evil, she could (and frequently bloody did do wrong) but I'd never hurt her for it...even though she often hurt me the mean old sod lol

I love my cats. One went missing recently and I'm worried what happened to him, I hope that he just ran away or at the worst got hit by a car. If anyone did anything to him then I would be out for revenge just as if someone hurt one of my family members.

This is very true and their piss also kills plants!

Btw i assume you all know this is how they originally tested cats eyes on the motorways? Where would be now eh without those? eh? :p
