Archers were overpowered but they werent FOTM as it was in the start, no one had hardly heard of VN boards or anything, people rolled the class they wanted to play etc. I had no idea how good archers were in the start when I rolled my scout and a week later rerolled as ranger on Excal, I doubt Aussie had any idea either :x Overpowered doesnt necessarily mean FOTM, atleast 2 years ago at release, now its a different case

Lol, those few times when slam landed, and a crit shot was fired, were more than made up for by 1 year of pure hell from lame ass SB/NS using See Hidden to bring the archer population to next to zero.
Right now a tank has to sit on the ground, being afk, in order for a scout to kill it. Engage is your friend I guess.
A lot of defenses at the moment versus scouts, but they are more playable since See Hidden got nerfed, and only a few noob SB's like Jox use it to direct their stealthzerg.

except for Arken there was no scout with 50 bow, he was uttergimp , he had no slam. All other scouts had 46-47 bow.
I have always had the best items in old days , I was even able to get +11 bow.
I have always been the highest scout on Excal and I have always had the best bow (bow of doom back then) .
my cap was 989. There was no 100qua stuff.

1000+ dmg from a scout before RA's ( ie 1.46/1.48 )

Eldric hit velly hard, even so the amount that I pa'd for (50 axe 50 cs) 2h'd "pre nerf" ghstly axe (best on server) did not equal the (slam + Crit amount) making your class a better "assasin" class than i was. I had a far far better chance against a ranger....

Dont really have to try better, made my point. The fact is that you could still slam and point blank crit for a larger amount of damage that i could give. Stealth back in them days was the same for both the archer and assasin, taking ages to find the archer only 2 find that the scout was equally lethul up close and from afar. fotm imo

Hmm, funny comment, cause Scouts could crit cloth casters for that amount (they have to stand still, etc) pre sc/epic gear.
I got hit for 1k damage today buy some noob savage named Zzeeke I believe for 1k damage in 2s, fully buffed, full sc'd gear.
Glad you think 1k damage anytime is a bit sick, shame you insist on playing one of those classes yourself.
