Are there any cookie cutter healing druid specs about.

Got some ideas, might be a bit over the top with healing
48 regen
24 nurture
6 nature

or a little more balanced
40 regen
36 nurture

any ideas pls, leveling up quite fast and need to decide final spec and I have no experence in rvr with druids or with group rvr as I have not run groups since old emain.

Id agee that 33 regrowth is pretty good, and I think most druids are going that way now. Personaly im 40r and 36 Nature, gives the 100% rez which is damn usefull in the frontier (50% power back) and the red con spread heal. Normaly only use the yellow one due to power but its nice to have the option. The AoE insa root and single insta root have saved my life a few times, but having to explain the lack of buffs in PvE and RvR is a pain. Fortunatly having a BB on the other account negates the PvE problems :)

For an all rounder, id go 33r for something special go 40 but no call to go higher.

Agree, 48 reg is not needed. Plus using the red SH costs way too much power....nice on tanks sometimes, but often you will "waste" a lot of healing when you are SH'ing casters, cuz of their low hp's.

I'm specced 31re/44nu, and I like it very much.

I went 44 nurt / 31 regro, however I had to as there were no BBs on Lamorak. 40 nurture is enough here, and that would be my chosen spec.

few choices for a healing druid (anything with over 30 reg counts in my books)

44 nurt 31 reg, very nice all round spec wont have any probs pickin up random groups and performing, all th ebuff shears and the red acui really help out. first spread heal is all you need 99% of the time, and the single targets are respectable and power efficient. still have a grey AoE root to spam if need arises for zero power, single target as well ofc...worthless pet. red fire sist.

39 nurt, 35 reg, 12 nat, nice spec...has all the single target buff shears (very important in my book) first spreadheal, 75% group insta (above spec only has 50% *shrug*) better single targets (slightly) lvl 20 pet that prolly interupts reasonably. spec should perform nicely in random groups again, though the yellow acui will cost you on mage dmg. all yellow sists.

39 nurt 31 reg 20 nat, same healing as first (not to be considered bad..very good tbh) all single shears again, lvl 32 stunning pet if i recall, must be good for interupting casters. again will do well in random groups xcept mage dmg imo.

40 reg 36 nat, very good healing, good single targets, 75% group insta again, 2nd spreadheal (though you wont use it much as its power intensive and the first does a good job anyway) 100% rez, handy in a pinch as mages/healers get 50% power bk to play with...BUT, it costs you 50% power and you shouldnt be wasting what is 3-4 spreadheals on rezzing people, you got EoY, PR, and other rezzers for that. and mages/healers should drink a pot or use MCL or sommit upon being rezzed anyway. imho anything above 35 reg is a complete waste, and 31 is perfectly adequate (im biased though ofc). you get the top pet which cons green to annoy the fuck outta peeps, you get an insta root, an insta AoE root, and a respectable length castable AoE root + some DoTs. Random groups will 50% of the time suck due to having no buffs (unless they have BBs/nurt druids to cover you) good spec for set groups, or for soloing ^^ if you have a bot, although i would miss the buff shears like mad soloing and in groups. imo shears > roots.

prolly some other specs flyin around, but these i know of.

hope it helps.

Only thing I will say on this :) 40r 36na the 100% rez is damn usefull, all other castable rezzes use 50% power too. EoY is a 5% rez and imo only usefull in emergancy or on mass death, casters may have pots to drink to boost their power, but if they start with 50% power then they are nearly back at full after a pot and ready to rip. Same goes for tanks, you rez a tank with a lower rez then you have to heal them, so 50% power for the rez then another 10%+ to heal.

Its all about the trade off, if you have a BB for PvE and *WILL* run with a buffing druid then I'd recomend 40r 36na to anyone. But if yuo dont have both the above - ovoid it :)

In my opinion both druids in the group should be speced 39 nurt 31 reg 20 nat. Far superior to 40 reg 36 nature spec, having a druid with that spec severly hampers your ability to have the train insta sheared and the pet is virtually equivalent anyway (4 levels different).

Thinking about coming back home at the moment and that is without a doubt the specs we will go for both druids :)
