Looking for a new set of headphones - the ones I have currently are on the way out I reckon. Based on the fact that I got them for nowt I cant really complain.

Need a new headset for gaming so includes a boom mic.

Just depends how much you want to spend really. If you decide to go the seperate headphones/microphone route then the plantronics audio 10 is pretty decent.

Imo, the first one will be shit, I cant stand those "wrap round the back" type jobbies.
The LabTec one will work, I have Labtec and they work fine, good bass etc, although obviously, the Platronics will be the best, but at twice the price?? Just noticed though, the Platronics:

Plug into PC sound card
:eek6: Definately worth the extra!!

Since you only gonna be using them for CS* anyway, and the sound is a bit shit, I would go for the Labtec's

*may not be true.

Well... if she is non-techie she might plump for the Plantronics on the basis of 'more expensive must be better' ;)

Jupitus!!! Down boy!!! :D

Plantronics is a non-runner. Gave her the Argos code for the Labtec one and none other. Told her if its not in stock, Ill order one over the internet (very possibly the one that Catsby indicated)
