I'm looking forward to HDMI becoming standard and doing away with analogue altogether. Even with high quality component out video with my progressive scan player, I can still notice a bit of noise creeping in (when i look really close). HDMI will curb that being digital from the source to the display device (plasma, LCD, projector).

I see that HDMI cables can also be up to 20 metres in length with no loss (and of course absolutely no noise). Bring it on.
