hold off until dell gets round to fixing the firmware mate.

japan has had it for while and japanese users are complaining a few probs over pic quality, component only doing 480p (same as the lateer versions of 2405) and it doesnt display 1080i/p pics when connected to hd dvd player over dvi socket whitch has hdcp

tho those are nowt compared to the 2007 screens which has major fualts

Seriously tempted by the new design of these Dells. I just know that gaming on them will be a mistake though, because I refuse to play in anything other than native resolution, with AA and AF enabled. I might be able to afford this new monitor and two 7900GTXs right now, but I'm sure they will struggle to cope with games in the future, and probably even a few games now.

yeah, on my 2405 i just about managed fear at highest settings, fps would be between 10fps to 30fps. cs and bf2 are ok but et: quake wars i dont think ill be playing full ress with uber settings for a while

If I bought the 2407FPW, how big would 1680x1050 1:1 be? And how big would 1280x1024 be? If it's big enough to tolerate, I might still go for it.

In other news, do you think my computer is trying to tell me something?

Fella, wait till Dell sort out the reported problems -although the UK stock has not been reviewed yet. I've got an offer of £400 for my 2405fpw if I do decide to upgrade.

Yeah, will do. What's the measurement on your screen for those resolutions though?
