Yeah it seems that way but it will be a trial to test the waters in a region with good internet and managable subscriber numbers. If they open up to the entire EU on day one it would probably cripple them and drive away customers, better to scale it up and learn from any mistakes along the way.

Read further down, it could be as low as 5 euros.

"Could be" as low as 60 euros - or nearly half the licence fee - which gives you BBC1-4, Radio 1-6, local radio, 24 hour news, 24 hour parliament, the bazillion websites....

Massively overpriced for a single channel.

And yet, I watch about 50x more HBO content than I do license fee content.

Won't be an All-europe thing ever. HBO syndicate loads of content to Sky so you're not going to Sky them operating in the UK any time soon.

It is in Denmark, higher in Sweden and Norway i think.
