Not only have I felt absolutely fucking nackered all day for no apparent reason, this evening it's been howling 100mph winds and torrential rain.

Never mind.

The twats upstairs and to the left of our flat decided it's too wet to go out and play with their fireworks, and they could do it out their window instead. Explodes right outside our babies room window and shocks him, wakes him up and keeps him crying for an hour.
They run downstairs as it stops raining to be met by me on the stairwell.

"If I catch you doing that again, not only will the police be knocking on your door, I'll be kicking the shit out of you, understand?"

15, 16 year olds if that, 4 of them. I'd not hesitate to have a go at the lot of them at once for being such fucking idiots.

Then, at just before 1am this morning, the wind is really getting up. James is in his room just having started crying - he's cold. Check the window and the vents are leaking - the carpet is soaked through, it's fucked one of his toyboxes and 3 of my MCSE books (admittedly 1 was being used to prop the window open in summer, so never tell me they're useless!)
Joy - can't afford/not worth the excess for an insurance claim and I'm sure the landlord (housing association) will do next to fuck all about it.
For note, these flats are brand new - we were the first people to move in back in April this year. Shoddy build quality as it stands but these niggles are far from satisfactory or "teething issues".

Grrrr.

Possibility of structural weakening of the window due to explosives used from flat above?

Just throwing it out there.

Also, get them arrested on account of the anti-terrorism law :flame:

Make sure you take loads of pics Kryt, they'll no doubt say it's a one off caused by freak weather conditions :(

Nah, plenty of proof it's an ongoing issue from the differing stages of wet/dampness on the floor. They're coming round this morning so will make sure they sort it out right :)

And aye Tohtori, that did cross the mind ;)

Just one of those days, we all get them :D

As for the baby comment - yes, he has projectile pissed, in exactly the same way as that advert (can't remember who it was for). Day before yesterday he peed from one end of his changing table to the radiator 3 feet away in the split second I turned around to fetch a nappy. Turned away, heard a distinctive tinkle - carpet, wall, radiator, bum wipes, all soaked through ;) But that's obviously a different sort of damp issue ;)
