Last night was pure shit.... But tbh, I blame the Albs for taking a keep and kicking the Mids out of DF :p

We formed a group (sorcerer, minstrel, cleric, friar, theurgist, paladin, wizard, merc) after the guild did the Shadows epic. Sit on CS pad and decide where to go...

/who emain = 105
/who odin's = 4...

Right, we'll take our group to Odin's.... Run into 3fg hibs camping amg.

Ho-hum, off to Emain then :rolleyes:

Move out with another fg, kill 1-2fg mids fairly close to amg and get rolled by another 3fg mids from behind. Try again, similar thing.

Port to Emain a third time, seems the albs all zerged the fuck out of the enemy and there's not much about. Run around Crim-Bolg, meet NP, land mezz, 4 zerks and savages purge, rip the group to shreds.

Port back to Odin's to see if it's calmed down. Kill 1fg mids just after amg. Over the hill come 3fg more.

After that it was zerged in Emain twice more, and finish the night against fine display of BAOD in Odin's.

But it's not about dying repeatedly, it's not about being rolled or running into campers, or groups with higher RR. It's about playing the whole night for maybe 10 minutes of fun. The server has too many people on it, all playing around the same time and it makes many weeknights the same. If it's like this more this week I can see my Cabby getting to level 40 quite quickly ;)

TBH, I think I would be better off going to bed at 8pm, and getting up at 4am to play before work instead :(


Please bring on SWG (or whatever). Please slice the server population in half.

He didn't complain about mids or hibs zerging, but more complaining about the whole server being zerged. Far too many people on all sides.



And as for Savages quad-hit percentage. You clearly haven't actually measured the percentage if you actually believe it's 5%.

Yep

There is an odd 'flipping' of triple/quad percentages that occurs with a 'specced' 50 in H2H. This is well documented and most savages who aren't FOTM's will acknowledge it as surprising.

The percentage chance is something like, at 49 spec:

14% chance triple
5% chance quad

Whilst at 50 spec:

5% triple
14% quad

I cannot believe that this was a deliberate design feature.

On a negative for savages, low weaponskill means that the unstyled 2nd, 3rd and 4th hits in a quad will be unlikely to land on a tank/hybrid after 1.62 so savages will become primarily 'soft' targets killers, something in which they excell.

A point of interest, to me, is that in beta a savage started as base viking but at 5 had axe/hammer/sword stripped leaving H2H as the only option. I feel that the balancing of savages was done with H2H and when the other 3 lines were reinstated noone thought of the consequences. A 2hander savage has access to good openers and didn't suffer from the reduction in weaponskill. This is where I feel the savage nerf will hit. A 2hander with high defence swinging at 1h speed and with high weaponskill (around 200 more than H2H) is obscene (and I have 1 )

I think the whole point is, currently mids are well outzerging albs in both emain and odins. I even know a few hibs irl who are moaning about it too.

Heard that Dragon Empire will have Collisiondetection. And I think all classes should have some sort of limited stealth.
You should be able to take a run with your merc all by yourself if you want, but that option isnt even there...lol.
No wonder we have all these buffed stealthers roaming Emain, thats the only way to solo or duo or whatever. Buffs should be removed by the way, they are so fucking stupid. These days you need to open 2 accounts to be able to play the game(at least as stealther), Mythic are screwing their selfs, they think they are smart, hehe, now we will double our income from many players...hehe...but in the long run...they are fucked. I cant imagine how many guys, students and stuff that only have one comp. And playing with 2 accounts on one comp is a joke, it lagg way to much. You should only need one comp to be able to play a onlinegame, not 3 as I suggested for a long time ago...lol.

But what can you expect from guys who done ras like lifter and mastery of water...

I think adding collision detection could make this game so much more fun. Would meen you cant get ganked by 2fg at the same time, I think 4-5 people hitting on you at once should be the maximum. irl there is no way more people get get round someone :p

yes and all trolls should have a chance to hit themselves with their own axe - base 20% chance, decreased by + int items

(of which there are none in mid , hah)

the thing is that on monday there's a peak in server population
just look at goa graphs, far too many people play on mondays (i have no idea why)

way too many albs on yesterday.....we should take keeps more often too get those pve albs DF

yesterday i saw an absolute maximum amount of mids in emain (excluding relic raids), it was 111 at some point. usually when the number is around 50, albs dont dare to move from atk at all. and guess what? those mids were still outnumbered by albs :D how many are you, honestly? :)

6 more mids...in 100+...wouldnt call it well outzerging...but it is a shame, when HW is empty.

Think I´ll go get my SM and Savage to 50, and then farm money to buy em good suits, and hope some people left for SWG when I am done. But I am dreaming I think. SWG wont be ready and the zergers will prolly be the ones staying.

Yes, there were 100+ albs and 100+ mids in emain much of the night yesterday.

The strange thing was that there was simultaneously ~50+ mids in Odin's.


I can just presume that it's all down to the last couple of months of Midgard Falls.
