"Any Scouts looking for group?"? I have not. Maybe its about time you fucks do something about it, Mythic? Instead of spending time and money on silly hats and stuff like Penetrating Arrow and Mastery of Water.

They day someone actually asks a Scout (or any other arhcers) to please join the group cause they are NEEDED... I wont believe it, and I'll go back to sleep.

Guessing groups looking for a scout is about as common as a group looking for a SB.
And atleast archers are getting some form of loving, I don't see that happening for SBs. :)

So what? He was just expecting your group to drop him for the next best guy who comes by after 5 minutes. Or maybe he thought you were making fun of him. :p

There is the famous "I'm a scout and no-one wants to pl me" whine again...

Friend in the 500 bubs I had to get for getting to level 50 I did a maximum of 20 solo ... rest was all done in groups and I was turned down maybe 4 times and 3 times I convinced the groupleader he made a mistake by pointing out scoutguard on the main tank is still a great way to safe the healer loads of power.

Learn to play your class and learn to tell others about your class... and get some friends...

And with the new spreaded aggro from Critical Shot in 1.62 we DO get loving to be more attractive in groups.

I take that as personal insult, so F U.

I soloed Ciramos from level 1-44, I think I know what it takes. I might add, I got him to 50 without a guild. But thats not the point here. The common impression of Scouts is that they are useless cunts for groups, and personally, I can't see why anyone would prefer a Scout guard to a Paladin or anything else. It's just plain silly.

Critcalshot? LOL! Like that counts.. one wizard DD does ALOT more dmg than our arrows do in PvE, we have nothing to compete with other classes..

The only place I get groups is stealth-squads in Emain, wich is intself pretty damn fun.

But don't come here and tell me that you convince everyone to let you in cause of Scout-guard? You don't get in the group cause they need a Scout-guard, but they LET you in cause your char is female. Seriously. Think about it. Imo give some RA's to Scout that will make them good in groups... Like Soldiers Barricade or something.

"I can't see why anyone would prefer a Scout guard to a Paladin or anything else. "

Hehe didn't say that ... I'm just saying that it's a often forgotten strenght of scouts

<shrugs> just telling you how I experienced it... I can't help it you're proud of soloing a character from 1 to 44... and even proud you did it without a guild too ... it's a MMORPG ... the second M stands for Multiplayer :p

I' can't help it you take well ment advice as a personal insult ... I think you shouldn't flatter yourself. If I wanted to insult you you'd know.

And the fact they allow me in cause Shanaia is a woman ... that is funny ... real funny ... who's the comedian here?

Only scout I would really "ask" to join a group would be Dioz.

Because I know he's RR8 and good. :) (note: I know he's good, I'm not saying the rest is shit)

who made that shit up anyway?? Oo

for me levelling my scout (over a year ago) was no problem, back then every group wanted a scout for pulling, cant say it was really hard (never grouped in rvr tho cuz i had another char for that)

There isn't anything currently a scout can do better then another class in RvR.

Examples:

"We want a guardbot" --> Paladin/Armsmen > Scout
"We want a ranged damage dealer" --> Theurg/Wizard
"We want someone that can *scout* for us" --> Infil
"We want a melee damage dealer" --> Armsman/Mercenary
"We want a......"

It continues on like that forever more or less. The scout cant really compete against the other classes if you want a balanced RvR group.

The only one of the above examples which doesn't *ever* occure within normal daoc is: "We want a archer".

It's not true, we didn't need your pulling abilities in Echo's, we just lacked of ppl. :D

Give mythic some credit once in a while, and some of the classes they have done work on are now much more appealing to group with. It used to be easy to work out, when you had to pick members for your group:

Tank: Paladin/Armsman > Merc

Now mercs do some comparable damage, and the DW positionals and changes to evade/parry are making people realise they make a reasonable main tank (with a good cleric) and a top class damage dealer/second tank

RvR has been stared at long and hard, and although the Paladin's End chant is absolutely wonderful now, Pole swinging armsmen and light tank Mercs can now hold their own in RvR, given the right situation.

Ranged: Any bolt class > Scout

With 1.62, i'm told that the aggro magnets that were scouts, are now having their damage spread amongst the party members more evenly, so it won't be so hard to get a mob off of the scout once he's pulled (i think).

RvR - Stealth, See Hidden, Volley Shot, Quick Fire, Crit Shot, Slam, Guard - they are damn amazing, and more often than not, when the tanks, casters and assassins are all bleeding in the dirt, it'll be the scout still keeping his blood internal, and doing what they were intended for - SCOUTING.

Assassin: nuff said.

High damage dealing, aggro attracting, paper suit wearers. Unless working with experienced groupees, who know where to set their protects and guards, they can be the first dead in a lot of PvE situations, or at least be the Clerical tap that they shouldn't be.

RvR - assassins... again, nuff said, it's just getting to a season where you are able to do this is a slog of long, lonely evenings in DF and Lyonesse...

Cabalists

always been underrated imo - get a cabalist in your group, and the enemy/beastie's will be half dead before they even get near you, what with all the crap these dark folk cast.

RvR - DoT, AoEdebuffs, InstaDebuffs, Lifetaps, AoEDisease, AoESnare (with 112 second timer)... Keep em alive, and you'll see the benefits. Just get them a dedicated Block-bot, with all the necessaries ;)

Out of these four, which i would consider the least fancied classes of Albion, two of them (Scout and Merc) are now what i would consider "even" compared to other classes that they can be compared to. Assassins will, sadly or gladly, always be loners - its part of their job, and besides, no one trusts a sneaky bastard. ;) Cabalists i don't know how to solve though - i love cabalists, but it seems few others do. They have their own PBT, but soon as a blademaster, savage, assasin or whatever, touches them, they fall down dead... <shrugs> no idea - perhaps give them a gun...

Nah, it was your scout :) - you already had a lv50 by that time - infi maybe (?). We were 4 - and had discussion about rezz requests :) (Our opinion was that in 90% easier to release)

You didnt notice your stealther class is unwanted, until now?

Tho i have no problems at all inviting stealther classes to my grp, i still dont yell for em to join. Those classes are made to be played in groups by their own and kick ass outside regular groups... thats why stuff look like they do in game atm...
