my opinion, and judging by other peoples, when either of these maps come on, its " ohh Nooooooo"

Havana, is a laggy piece of crap, my average ping on this map is 180 ffs

Chateau is ok for a bit, then just gets tedious


we already have chateau on the 20/20 server ( still makes me laugh looking at the map rotation on that server, but never mind, cant keep everyone happy i guess)

can we remove these two from the popular map rotation?

just my thoughts

any one else agree?

i agree... they arent exactly Friendly and my Ping goes very very high.

I agree......although lag isn't a problem for me, I find them vast areas of crap :)

hey jobbie - sobered up yet (or r u still on the Stella ?)

Havanna - dont think thats too bad (plenty of ways into the hossies which makes for a better game.

Chateau - agree with you - 3 ways in - all easily covered by CTs.

Personally I would like to keep havanna and get rid of Chateau.

Learn to play the maps instead of complaining (no flame intended)

Im taking a shine to Chateau. Fast and furious stuff but dislike bombsite B it your a CT and the bomb's been planted. Havana is too easy as a CT, but still better than both 1.3 maps.

Havana is good. Its the only map that people actually try (and manage) to rescue the hostages on a regular bases.

Do you mean one of those golden discs suspended from a similarily golden chain around ones neck (popular during the 70's and 80's) ?

I think both maps are ok to be honest. I think all the maps are ok, with the exception of estate. I just think there are different ways of playing each map, which is the point of it all for me :)

me drunk, never :) i was bloody knackered, was good fun though :)

cant help it i love stella, embattle asked me if this was the wife, heh, the nana

i have played havana a good few times, but its just too annoying when your used to a descent ping, then play this map and it doubles, yes it isnt a bad map but its far to laggy for net play to be honest :)

Its a disgrace to the organisation of BWCS that chateau and havana made it onto the popular servers the second they came out.

How can you say a map is popular before its even been playtested, someone somewhere is doing something wrong :/

I have seen Jobbies wife play.

I must say, never seen my balls so polish... *cough*

Anyways, I like Havana - kinda. Needs seriously even teams though... CT's have too many access points in.

Chat... well, I like it. And I know Jobbie likes it really too. But only when he gets to hit 40+. Kill hoe :D

Can you imagine the uproar if they didn't make it on as soon as they were out. You'd have people going off from BW just to play em. Not smart. I appreciate they are called popular servers but BW have always added them and then removed them if they are not popular after a while (look at Torn and Storm) and not the other way round.

... and another thing how can a map become popular if its not added to a rotation?

... oh and also you don't see the swarms of people desert Havana or Chateau like you did when Torn or Vegas comes on the rotation (not that I don't like Vegas - though that stupid 'ghost' annoys the hell out of me)

They were added because a lot of people requested them, other admins wanted the chateu and havana only servers that were on for a while.

As for the 20 man server, last I heard was that it was to be a popular maps server. I have no idea who made it into the disgrace of a 3 map server it currently is.

I think it all comes down to your connection jobbie. As I said earlier Ive no complaints with any of the maps. However, last night I was playing on Chateau, and I must admit it was super laggy. The next map was dust 2 as far as i remember, and that was laggy too, for everyone on the server, obviously a net or server problem. Point being, under those conditions Id agree Chateau was fucking terrible. Not seen such a big problem with the last lot of "new " maps, ie Survivor, storm etc.

naa, its nothing to do with my connection, its great on every other map, i have just played chateau, and my ping was 220 ffs, 10 mins earlier it was 70, and nope i wasnt lagging, i wasnt choked, i played around 20 mins and the ping averaged from 150 to 190, then went to 200 in a fight ffs, i left joined another server and my ping was 70,

FFS Get this crap off the popular servers, Assault, chateau & havana, FFS an hour and a half of cack, even worse when other servers have same map cycle, there is no where else to go, guess i will have to add BY servers back to my list, i am writing this because at this moment in time the selection of maps on nearly all the servers are chateau, assault, havana, tundra ( 0 ppl in there) i have to wait to get on the dual duster,

its doing my head in, i tell yer, its doing my head in,

popular servers, lol

/me scampers off for a sulk :(

I like both maps but I have to agree that they are too laggy to enjoy properly. You wanna see the pings on a modem :-(

I'd like to see them off the popular map servers, leave them on the others.
