Has BW got a problem or have I?

Hi,

For some reason BW seems to be very slow for me ATM.

This forum takes ages to load, especially the icons down the side, and this post new thread page came up really slowly.

Also I am using ASE and it is refusing to ping the BW servers, or all except 1 or 2 sometimes. They all just show ping 9999 and I cannot see who is playing them. Individually refreshing selected servers sometimes works. All other servers in the list, BY jolt UK2 etc, work fine. This is the same for CS and DoD.

ASE will still let me onto BW servers,and once there my pings are good as usual, so I really don't know where the problem is. The ingame browser still seems to work fine. (well,as well as it ever did).

I was a little surprised to see half BW CS servers empty on a Sunday morning. Surely not everyone is at church.

Well I just pinged a bw cs server:

Site loads ok to, maybe an issue with your isp though and not just your individual connection .

It is definately a problem for bt customers atm. My servers also come up 999, and so do many other ppls. If I connect i get into the server, but although choke and loss readings are fine there is a definate lost bullet syndrome going on there ! Took me three days to work it out, thought I was just worse than usual
However last night I was playing dod on by servers in desparation, and it was totally "stop-start", so it seems to be getting worse ,spreading from just Barrysworld to an overall problem. Im afraid its pay-per-bloody-second isp for me atm.
Incidently I know someone with tiscali isp, and the situation is the same for them too.
Normally Ive noticed that just as bt reach a peak of annoyance its suddenly fixed, so hang on all it cant get much more annoying than this!

Yup, I'm on BTO ADSL.

So far I haven't had many problems in game, so it is still only a mild irritation. I hope it gets better rather than worse, but with BT I'm no hold ing my breath.

Missing bullets? hehe I'm not really good enough to notice, but would like to think that is the reason for some poor scoring last night. That and the fact that since I have started playing CS abit, after a couple of weeks playing nothing but DoD, I am only using the TMP! It's a new challenge.

Not bad pings on average, but I guess I shold be worrying about the packet loss? Are those the missing bullets? Can I get them back? I payed hard cash for those, just for them to get lost by BT.

Its not the ping, that has remained solid on mine Ive been looking carefully at net graph. also there is no movement on loss or choke. but last night i was actually stopping for 2or 3 seconds then coming back to life dead, if you see what i mean lol.
shall i do a super boring nettrace then post it here ? Nah dont think ill bother

Your right Shady, BW is very slow and has been for a week or so now.. sometimes the page wont load or it takes aboujt 30seconds for a page to open

and i get weird character things over on here topo

I got 100 ping on BW and on average 20 ping on Jolt. Not good.

P.S. I just thrashed a server though with two members of Mi5 on it

Aye, its like the whole of BW is getting Problems, not just one thing, Servers have been pretty laggy, as well as the Site/Forum
