No, my only military experience was as a highly paid civilian Engineer. In Oman (RAFO) I had the equivalent rank of a Wing Commander. Got to fly back seat in a Hawk 203 during 4g bomb toss runs and tests of LAU Rocket Launcher.

when your in the armed forces your there to do a job, sometimes that involves killing people, and in war it comes down to him or me.
survival instincts kick in and you kill them. its going to affect you no matter and itll stay with you for life but you cant let it get on top of you because it would break you. that person had every intention of killing you and yours in my eyes thats all the justification you need.

hope i havent offended any servicemen/women i cannot comprehend the horrors they've witnessed but i do like to think if i was in their place i would perform my duties.

its not something id want to brag about to civilians

Personally i could never dream of it, i didnt go to the army, and would have done all possible to avoid it if i hadnt been ditched becouse of my bad back.

I plan on joining the armed forces, but as a doctor. Ofcourse I will be out on patrols and such but I'm not sure if I could do it.

The idea of taking someones life away from them when they have a family at home just like mine scares me. I know they want to kill me and I would probably manage to do something with a rifle, but with a knife? no fucking way.

I wanna join the Army to save lives.

A very hard question at least for the last 2 options. I'd hate to have to kill, and I'm not sure if I could. It is all about context I suppose, if someone is going to try and have a pop at my family then drastic action might be required, but you never know how drastic.

I personally don't like violence generally and try to avoid it, though two Essex lads were trying to knock the shit out of each other at a wedding last weekend and I stepped in the middle - d'oh!

i havent killed anyone but ive stabbed someone in the eye (was 15 and he was in my tent when i woke up) would not bother me if i had killed him seeing as he was trying to molest my friend (who was scared shiteless).

i wouldnt brag about it but in some cases i do feel its justified.

Think in general if people see family/close friends in danger, we are able to to far "worse" things, i know i would atleast.

My grandad died last year, he fought in WW2 (in Burma) so sure as shit he was involved in some pretty bad shit, but he never spoke a word about it to my dad (his son obviously) or his 2 brothers.
