Oddly enough it tends not to happen in real life, nor do inpromptu fights against passing mutants or musclebound heads of evil organisations. Luckily there are fun games which can help me act out these fantasies, which could obviously never actually happen ever. This way I don't look like the kind of tool who labels them as shite because 'it doesn't happen like that in real life'

Besides, the level of movement in modern 2D fighters widdles all over the 3D efforts from a great height. 3D fights on a 2D screen with a pad that allows 2D interaction?

I don't like 2d fighters much, but that's pish posh and piffle. If you took out sidesteps from SC/Tekken they'd still be fanruddytastic.

Except half the moves wouldn't work cos you need to be round the side of your opponent and/or sidestepping.

There's really not *that* many side on moves/throws.
