Hard Disc Recovery

Does anyone know of a decent data recovery program that I can download for free, free trial or whatever? I'm trying to use something called GetDataBack but I can't really tell what's going on with it, it might be a bit too nerdy for me? Is there something a bit more user-friendly out there?

I have been running Stellar Phoenix for about a month now trying to recover 40gig of data. Not sure why its taking so long, last time I used it, I managed to recover my entire 30gig mp3 collection in about 12 hours. Ah well, its a decent piece of software anyway!

Thanks, I did find something at download.com that's free to try, seems to work okay. Completely forgotten what it's called now. It's for this guy who keeps messing up his computer that I see every week. I only see him for 2 or 3 hours at a time so it's taking me a while, bit I'm getting there.
