It's ok, he's doing the touristing thing and staying away from us. Embattle don't like outsiders. :(

/me finishes patting down earth on Damini's shallow grave.

Eh?

Oh....uh...um...

Heh. Thanks guys. We did eventually go up to London after extensive arguments about what the hell we'd actually do up there.

First we went up to Picadilly Circus and wandered around the Trocadero Centre. That big ride in the middle of the building was closed for repairs though. :/ They had all the old skool favourites. I had a go on a widescreen version of Marvel Vs Capcom. Nearly finished it. I blame the shitty joystick. Pah!

One of the highlights of the day was when Damini attempted one of them new fangled dancing games.
She stepped on...couldn't decide which music she wanted so it defaulted to Britney. Great. Then she proceeded to make an arse of herself in front of about 5 other people all wanteing to see lady's bits bouncing up and down. Apart from one kid. After she failed so miserably to get ANYTHING in time to the music, she gave up halfway through and some lad stepped on to finish her game. He was surprisingly good. As we walked away, she muttered under her breath "He's gay and he doesn't even know it yet." LOL.

Then came "Bull Wrestling". Being the macho wanker I am, I decided to go for the "Brute" setting. This involved grabbing a plastic bull head by the horns and wrestling it to the ground.

First go. YOU WIN! New speed record for the day!
Second go. YOU WIN! New speed record for the day!
Third go. I tried so hard on this I nearly had an anneurism. I even put all of my damn weight on one of the horns so my feet were off the floor and the damn thing just wouldn't fucking budge. So I looked silly in front of the same crowd tha had just seen Damini make a tit of herself on he dancing thing.

We decided it would be a good idea if we tried the games on the OTHER SIDE of the arcade. :)

Then I saw that Fist of the North Star fighting game. I totally sucked. It was a quid a go and I lasted about 10 seconds. heh.

After that we got some food at a place called "Adam's Rib". The food was nice. Damini is well and truely over her crazy vegetarian stage as she tucked into a gigantic half a chicken. I was equally impressed when we were asked where we'd like to sit and she requested "Non-smoking". Yay Damini!

We wandered out of there and noticed a theatre accross the road showing the Reduced Shakespeare Company's "Entire works of William Shakespeare (abridged)".

We wandered up to have a look and some crazy beardy bloke jumped out of no where and offered us tickets at a cut down price.

He'd started to explain a little about why he was selling the tickets but Damini cut him off saying he was surprisingly well spoken for a ticket tout "not like the one's at Glatonbury".
It turns out he was a school teacher and two of his pupils had dropped out of the group. Yay Damini! (2).

So we were amazed at our good fortune and wandered into the theatre to see the entre works of william shakespeare performed in a little over an hour and a half. It was bloody brilliant.
Now, I'm not much of an English Scholar but these guys were great. Even if you don't give a fuck about old Willy, go see them anyway cos it's just fucking funny. :) Aiiight?

After that we found outselves in a retro movie memorabilia shop. Can't remember the name but it's at the are end of Soho. Inside the PA was pumping out "Cream" (the band j00 f00'). Downstairs they had a video library...a rather unique video library.

It seemed whoever ahd made this library had just sat in front of the telly with a lifetime's supply of video tapes and recorded EVERY SINGLE thing that had ever been on telly right back to like the 1950's (I guess he was recording re-runs or something in the 70's okay?)

Because it was just "RECORD RECORD RECORD!", he had some tapes that had "Amityville Horror IV" and "Andy Pandy has a picnic" and "The pygmy men of Guatemala" all on the same tape!! heh.

After that we went out into Soho so I could oggle all the slappers tempting desperate men into wanking over some bird for half their life savings.

We did a bit of shopping and found that book shop "Borders" which seemed impressivly hoooge. Damini still couldn't find what she was looking for though...hard back copies of Buffy books and the novelisation of "Robin Hood: Prince of Theives"...aparently hse wanted it cos it's written by one of her favourite authors "Simon Green".

After that we was knackered and went home...we stopped on the way to get some Maccy D's of course. :)

Upon arriving home, my house mates presented me with a nice shiny copy of "Terminator 2" on DVD for my birthday (in the tin case and all!!! WOOHOO!).

So Me and Damini settled down to watch our lubberly not-so-legal copy of Jet-Li's "The One". Very enjoyable in a verymuchlikethematix kind of way. Except Damini couldn't tell you that cos she was asleep within 10 mins of her head hitting the pillow.

So that was out day out and my birthday. :) Very good times were had by all and there was much merriment and rejoycing.

Thanks again guys!. :)
