Yep, Ray Harryhausen is 90 today!
For those unfamiliar with the name you will most likely know of some of his work Ray Harryhausen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia He pioneered some of the great special effects in the movies and inspired people to do what they can do now with his amazing stop motion skellingbobs in Jason and the Argonauts.
I loved the sinbad and such like movies as a kid and to this day have a love of action/adventure of that type, some truely excellent work in the field.
