I don't like lesbian porn either, I much prefer watching a girl sucking a bobby, I imagine it's my own bobby, only bigger than mine.

:(

You have a fetish for Police porn? Kinky.

Ended up staying for the duration, though driving back into the village was interesting, 2 miles of sheet ice. Day off tomorrow me thinks.

Well, I was right, Dublin got a lousy 2 inches of snow and its like the last days of Sodom out there. Dublin Bus service literally just stopped every bus at the same time and told everyone to get off, no matter where they were, and then all fucked off back to their depots! There are people who've been stuck on the ring road (M50) for 5 hours plus, and loads of people have just abandoned their cars altogether. Now it is icy; I was driving my gf's little Corsa and got stuck and had to push in one place; but the chaos is out of all proportion to the reality, thanks to incompetent officials and shocking drivers. There are also reports of local knacker (chav) kids, opening people's car doors and throwing snowballs in! Little bastards.

Heard Tallaght and those parts got about six inches, the people living on hillsides are fucked it seems as the roads weren't gritted.

Nobody has cars in Tallaght anyway! (not ones they own ;)) And no, it was nowhere near that much snow, but the roads definitely weren't gritted properly.

Well my uncle lives out past Tallaght very close to the Kildare border iirc, said it is pretty grim up there in the hills.

winter tyres ? :ninja:
Almost all tyres provided in the UK are all-season.
Winter tyres are more of a specialist item.

Snow chains might be a better investment as they can be put on and taken off quite easily.

That happened in Cork at christmas simply because the temperature dropped to -2 and there was a bit of ice around, no buses or anything, telling people on the radio to stay in.

I might invest in a Gritting truck and charge them next year!

I worked through new year. Today (uh, yesterday now) is my first proper day off. Snowtastic.

Went for a lovely walk with She Who Must Be Adored. It snowed (lightly) the whole time.

Am glad I wasn't working because tbh I'm one of the few fuckers that turns up on time and doesn't whine because of adverse conditions because I will make extra effort and plan ahead. Thats for the rest of the bastards that are work shy. Glad because I basically didn't have to listen to the excuses.

Fuck the lot of you work shy whiners ;)

My 5 mile trip by bike took 35 minutes instead of the usual 20-25 minutes, although yesterday afternoon I decided to stick my offroad tyres on instead of my narrow slick tyres.

I'm staying well off the bike til the roads are clear my end. It's not that I will fall over, it's that some fucking asshole will be driving too fast and be unable to stop at a light or something and kill me.

For sure, it did sound drained but it started ok, left it running for a good 20 minutes. It's gagging for a ragging, once this ice has gone I will scorch it to Glen Coe and back.

Sister lives half way up a hill in Perth and is having a pretty terrible time at the moment. Things are a bit easier for me down south but I did notice a couple of the minor roads I use weren't gritted today as usual so expecting things to go downhill. Tbh though when the snow first hit before Christmas I got up two hours early to go into work and ended up twiddling my thumbs. I'm the kind of sad **** that would probably walk the 25 miles there and sleep at work for the week if it came to it. :twak:

Considering Glencoe is snowbound and one of the coldest places in the UK. :)
I drove through Tyndrum on the day after they registered -16.C and it was glorious. Icy and scary to drive, but glorious.

I *could* if I really tried and was willing to freeze my arse off on platforms for hours, or (lol) cycle 3 miles in the snow.

How lazy/stranded/unaffected are you?

lazy twat.... that's only half an hour walk. Easily doable, and by bike should be fine :flame:

In a situation like that I'd just call in saying "Look, I'll be a bit later due to the weather, but see you in half an hour orso." and then either just drive slowly or bike/walk.

Just had a driving lesson, it was fun getting out of the side roads where I live to the main roads.

I'd be in work if I could have driven there, but the pavements are really bad now, even on the main roads, I am not risking my neck when I can happily work from home.

Thats in good conditions though - its one thing to be gung ho but if you fall over and break something your just another numskull putting increased strain on the nhs.

Getting to casualty would be a nightmare and then a colossal queue of sheepish looking folk with fractures not to mention the risks to ambulancemen if they have to attend you on frozen roads.

Edit - has anyone been told they have to come in?

I'm not a car or bike user though, I'm used to walking and would not risk it after slipping yesterday, in what were better conditions.

edit:// and my walk is only 10 minutes.
