Yes - public transport is running on huge delays and cancellations, the minor roads are undriveable, and the major roads heavily congested.

My car is abandoned half way up my street under a pile of snow, I've never seen snow like it here in Skirtland, well over a foot deep in most places. However, I'm 5 minutes from the train station and it drops me off a ten minute walk from work.

I can well imagine, alot of places south of Birmingham just aren't used to consistent snowfall like this. BBC had a report on a couple of days back from one village where the snow had been the worst in living memory, obviously some areas are getting hit pretty badly but I have to say that this is the worst I have seen inner city Manchester since 1987.
