I'm trying to find the red wheel to open the drain in the minefields. I've looked everywhere, Can you help?

Walk around the mine field on the left hand perimeter, staying on rocks as much as possible. Once at the red wheel, turn it to open the storm drain and climb down the ladder (don't fall, it's too far).

Am I in the right area?
There is a chopper hovering above, I stay on the left hand side of the minefield and I come to supplies covered by a tent, and if I carry on going I come to the storm drain surrounded by barbed wire.

Ok, being an overlly helpful person (that an a huge Half-Life Obsessive) Ive created some diagrams to tell you what to do...

As far as I can see you are currently in Map 1 (top), you must go back to point A, this will trigger a map change to Map 2, you will start at point B, you must then goto point C (The bunker) inside you will find a small handle which you must turn to open the hatch at point D, you can then return their, use the bank to jump over the fence and climb down the ladder. That is all.

In this case the walkthru was crap

This level's a real piece of work, any tips on how to get across the minefield, after the shot security guard, with snipers above shooting you, I'm trying to use my rocket launcher to blow up the mines, but getting rid of the mines around the corner, is proving difficult as I keep getting shot.

Lob a detpack around the corner to clear the mines, then quickly dart around the corner and send a right-click MP5 grenade up in the direction of the sniper, that should in theory kill him, but those snipers are damm fast so be prepared to try again and again and again...

damn, I've run out of vital ammo. I need some kind of cheat.
I've loaded half life with the console, and have tried the god mode & full guns+ammo mode, both don't work.
Do I have to enter them before I load the game or during?

This is what I have tried to enter :

1) impulse 101

2) give
god

3) god

4) give god

Never, EVER be tempted to use cheats on (what seems to be) your first run through Half-Life.

Gimme a list of what ammo you do have and ill try and replicate it to form an effective, honest solution.
