Half Life - Better refersh rate?

I recently reinstalled half-life but I can't get the refresh rate any higher than 60hz. According to steam, I have the latest version.

Is there something I need to edit in a .cfg file somewhere? There is no refersh rate option in the settings panel. I'm using a Radeon 9800.

Knew i'd forgotten something:- XP Pro SP1

Display settings > settings > advanced > displays > monitor > refresh rate override.

There are also some tools you can download which do the same thing, just google for 'ati refresh rate fix'.

Also there is a bug with the catalyst drivers that reverts your refresh rate to 60hz if you go back to the ingame menus in HL. Latest drivers fix this problem.

This question seems to be popping up loads recently maybe it should be slapped in as a stciky in the HL Forum

Fix it with refreshforce, use it once to lock whatever resolutions u use to a particular refreshrate, ie i lock everything to 85hz no matter the res, and isnt affected by opengl or d3d, just works.
