and no Openoffice i no good as you cannot run a continuose song.

also it must be dumDum Friendly
and showable/save'able in Powerpoint format, or just a common format plz!

um tbh if I want to put pictures with music I just use the windows movie maker on my PC, and tbh if I can do it anyone can its dead easy you just drop stuff in the timeline in the order you want them to appear and the song plays while they scroll though.

but it wont save the file as a philm, only as a "project"

You save it as a project, and somewhere there is an option that makes the project into a movie file. Just need to search

thats what I'm saying,
when I try to save it as a movie file it pops up with an error msg

even if I remove sound and only load in the pics,
as soon as I say save a mov to comp it tells me the files arent avalibe

Im going with the - do what the error message says option.

Are all the original files still accessible by windows? If they are on removable media, is it still plugged in? Do you have enough disk space to save?
