I know what you mean with this. As much as I like fantasy/RPGs, I also love sci-fi, I feel fantasy has been done way too much in RPGs. I really enjoyed Anarchy Online, but my friends didn't so I didn't get to play that as much as I would have liked to

... and I believe this one has some kind of blaster in upcoming content: City of Heroes®: The World's Most Popular Superpowered MMO.
