Right folks was wondering if you could help me out. I've decided to put together a new PC to write some tunes on, don't wanna spend a huge amount, just want a good PC with lots of RAM and a good sound card. I already have a P4 2.8Ghz (533Mhz) and a Radeon 9800 Pro to put into it and a PSU to use, along with stuff like CD-ROM, floppy drive etc, so all I need is a case, a mobo, some RAM, a hard disk and a sound card. I've had a look around OcUK (my local supplier) and have decided on these....
Abit IS7-E2 Intel 865PE (Socket 478) Motherboard (MB-034-AB)
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3 (GE2GB3200BDC) (MY-046-GL)
Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-046-WD)
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music - Retail (SC-034-CL)
CoolerMaster Ammo 533 Aluminum (No PSU) - Silver (CA-089-CM)
Comes to just over 400 quid. Gaming isn't really a priority, I have a PS2 and a PSP for that. Anyone have any better ideas?
