Guards ruining RvR

Don't know how others feel about this but my opinion is that the new guard patrols are killing small-scale rvr.

As an example, last night we had a great skirmish with a group of Hibs at the entrance to HOTC. Cat and mouse for around 20 mins, deaths on both sides and real fun...till a KC and 2 MAA's showed up.

OK, we won , but the patrol upset the balance of the fight. You can't have a 1fg vs 1 fg when red con patrols steam in at mach5.

On that occasion we benefitted, earlier in the day we had a great time in Mid and only came to grief when wave after wave of sodding red/orange guards engaged us, giving the Mids enough confidence to come out of their keep to fight.

One of the worst implementations added by any patch I think. Not much choice now but to zerg.

Agreed, let guards move at casterspeed instead.

I don't mind the non-upgraded 2 yellow/1 orange patrols at all, they hit like lvl40's, can even be soloed with a bit of luck and a heal & end pot (hint to Glenlock "claimers"). Any higher than that and they start giving big trouble to soloers or small groups :(

Looking at next "item" of whine, it's going to be Corpse Summoner, judging by Dev boards :mad:

Its the Mythic ultimate paradox.

You cant do an upgrade keep with a FG without MASSIVE luck, But if you bring all yer mates to take the keep the zone crashes..

Go figure.............

Yeah corpse summoner will be a hot topic (Wildfire let the hibs keep our powerrelic!). Tihi.

Well it is not a game like look here is some battle ground enjoy.
it is our realm and other realms are not supposed to be there at all. but if they manage to get a keep and upgrade it etc you face hard gaurds on our own playground/backyard.
that is annoying for crafters yes that is true.
but what goa want's is that we gonne retake that keep again
not that they nerv it down.
there is a lack in retake keeps this will push it a bit so crafters or mule's etc can run around more easy.
other nice thing is enemystealhers in our realm who solo have a harder time now and do not run around so easy.
if you want a gaurd free area go HW , hib and mid land have the same place were guard are not around like around the mill in emain , also a xroad for the 3 realms .
so i think the new keep system is better then b4
not perfect tho that would be to much credit but better :cool:

Personally I hate the new guards and quite agree, they are ruining small scale rvr. sure the zergs can run through them without slowing down virtually, but what about us who avoid the zergs for the sake of small fights, and I mean even less then fg v fg.

Personally I enjoyed RvR the most running strolling around odins by myself or with a couple of friends, sure, amg might be camped, but when you do get through theres a nice high chance of same number fights and 1 on 1 fights. But not that is impossible, 2 people can take down 1 red and 2 orange guards at the same time ok, but when you get the purple ones or repeated attacks its just pointless. And thats assuming you don't meet enemy players during the long fight.

Is Mythic trying to force this game into a pointless zerg war? (might be hope for us nerfed albs yet).
