GTA3 r0x0rz my b0x0rz...

I don't play many (if any) console games because they generally smell, but this one has me hooked.

Been playing GTA3 on my house-mate's PS2 and I haven't laughed to much since I played GoldenEye on my previous house-mate's N64.

What I'm asking is...

Can anyone pick out any cool hidden/secret bits, or perhaps am00sing things we can look forward to later in the game? I'm told there's a tank later on, and I wondered about motorbikes as they were present in the first two games.

Hithanyou.

The tank got hideously boring after about 3 minutes. It was more fun to spawn them time and time again and pile them up. That got boring quickly too.

Infact, much of the game bored me pretty quickly.

GTA3 can be hilarious, particularly beating old women with the baseball bat :)

Must try that thing with the prossie. :) And beating old women with baseball bats is so funy. I love the fact that you hit them once and they fall down. Hit them again and they let out a little squeel. Hit them again and again and all is quiet, just the body jolts about. Heh heh. Oh, wonderful!

And on that note, you know how hard it is when flying the plane to see how long you can keep it up *ahem*, i have managed 135 seconds :). Beet that then Kez, or are you too bored?

Lets see, secrets eh? Well, there are cars parked in places that allow you to carry out remote controlled buggy missions like in the original. Then there's the task of flying the plane to find out what's inside the stadium (what it says on the seats;)) Then there's the buggy that joey has at the start of the game and you get to drive it...

There are shit loads of secrets :). Watch out for the mission where you blow up a ship, or have you done that already?

Oh, man! I've got so much to come! (So to speak)

We haven't even unlocked the first level yet, but we're playing socially so its a little difficult to play missions through. I'll give it a good go tomorrow on me ownsome.

I 'did' the prossie thang (heh) and larfed. Little rocking car... :D

I completed it on my first go. Shame the PS2 controller isnt well adapted to aiming. I'm currently stuck on 'The Exchange' on the 3rd island though. Very tough.

madness! :D

Fappin excellent game! :) got to the second island about a week ago but haven't tried any missions since cos i've found that the second island is a whole lot better for some mental police chases - get your wanted rating upto 5 stars and u get 2 helicopters and the FBI after you!

Boy those FBI guys are mad, they have excellent aim and the black cars they drive are fast too!

there are two garages, in which you can deliver one of every car, once you've delivered all of the cars, you can take an infinite number out of that garage on demand. Pretty cool, as is every ten hidden packages you get, you get a new weapon at your HQ.

Um... silly question. I'm assuming you get to the other islands when the story dictates. ie, after a certain mission, the bridge is repaired and you can move on...

or is it

As in the original GTA when you have a certain number of points or money you can go on to the next area?

this would be correct

As in the original GTA when you have a certain number of points or money you can go on to the next area?
this would be wrong

Actually you get to the second Island by finishing a mission, the bridge then miracliously repairs so that you can get back to the first island.
