bugger, was worried someone might ask that.

I know that there are different levels of infinity, and I remember understanding the proof, but I've forgotten :)

I want to be able to use my fucking ps2 pad that's plugged into my PC and works with EVERY GAME EVER, but for some reason GTA3 doesn't like it.

Lets me choose buttons, but doesn't allow me to assign axis to x/y/z

I do already lameron. It's just I'd rather sit back in my £200 leather desk chair in recline mode, sipping on some wine, smoking a fag, and playing. Instead of hunched over my keyboard like a budding Notre Dame wannabe

PS2 pads work in PC's???

what software do they require?

not a whole lot, a driver and a playstation pad-usb converter. infact, I dont even think they need drivers, the usb thingy autodetects all the buttons n stuff.

You just need a ps2 connector -> usb device. They only cost about a tenner, and because they are fully HID compliant they don't need any drivers.

Also works with PS1 pads obviously
