Is GSV bugged ?

I know several people who have been camping this artifact for the last 3 weeks nearly yet none of them have managed to get it.

Some of them claim to have camped it 24/7 for a couple of days as it is supposed to have a 48 hour respawn time, is this true ?

Have these people just been really unlucky and it was done while they looked away or is it just not spawning ?

A few of the people I know have but none have had a reply yet (or at least mentioned it to me). I dont want the arti nor have I been camping it so I wont bother with Right Now as I can provide no facts myself.

What I'm hoping is someone here will repond with 'I did it yesterday' or '... this morning' or someone who has had a Right Now reply to give the information here so all can see the state of this arti if it does have problems etc.

I did it for a stealther this patch if that helps. I know the repop can be long, scarab wings are easy to get and i guess most stealthers want one. Perhaps your just unlucky?

I've had a char logged in the mau camp now the last 2 weeks ++, checked in every now and then and at some points stayed there for hours, still I haven't had any luck. I Rightnowed it, they said they would check if it was bugged, and informed me that there was no maximum respawn time on gsv, which in fact means (as far as I can understand) that it can literally take forever for it to spawn I hope I misread that somehow but it was stated pretty clearly I think, will dig up the mail and see if I can post what it said.

Thank you for the report. We will investigate to see if there is a bug which is preventing the proper spawn of this encounter. You should be aware however that due to the random nature of these encounters, it is entirely possible for a very long time to pass without the encounter spawning and this does not necessarily mean there is a bug. There is no maximum time for the encounter to spawn.

Could one of the GOA GM's check it please and if it hasnt spawned for weeks (which tbh I doubt) then make it spawn please ?

Two things.
It has spawned. It was last completed on Hib Excal on 26/09.
There are no maximum spawn times for any artifact encounter. There is a timer and a random chance for each encounter. The timer ticks around and when it reaches 0 the server looks to see if the encounter is up. If not, it rolls a random number and if it's below the chance for the encounter, then it spawns. The length of the timer and the random chance are different for each encounter.
Some encounters have very long timers (in excess of a real life day) and some have very small random chances. When you get a long timer and a small chance to spawn, the encounter will not be up very often at all. In any case it is entirely possible for any artifact encounter to take a very long time to spawn and not be bugged.

i camped it for a while with a ranger & nightshade 6 days on n off - the Ns was there pretty much all teh time tho.

never found it up - but if it helps u can get credit if you've got the vest in your pack by just talking to tey again
might be vest & gloves i had both, not sure.
was lucky to find one on housing for 1p a while back - knew it would come in handy eventually.

oh and i emailed GoA bout it aswell and got the exact same reply as Eredrin - word for word
