There is nothing I hate more, then starting my song, getting interrupted, but is still takes you through the entire graphic sequence, so you think you have the song up, only to find out that it isn't.

If you do notice, you still have to wait for your toon to finish banging the drum before you can try start it again.

Problem should be solved if you check conc. window, displaying current songs. Not sure if that was what u meant tho.
