basicly it says "no tradeskill respecs" .. which means you need to dedicate an alt to spellcrafting/alchemy seeing as im pretty sure everyone and their dog has selected a tradeskill for the main ages ago.

I really wanted to have spellcrafting on my main, sitting around logged on as someone else to raise a tradeskill on him just isnt the same.

end of whine.

i've heared about this before and agree, it's extremely irritating, but at least they have a good reason this time...

Another Broken promise, way to go Mythic

They LIED. I call it lieing, the courts call it misrepresentation and fraud.

It´s the same crap as they did to the respec, they said we might tnk BE4 we respec. Ok, now plz Mythic tell m HOW on the earth can I SAVE UP MY RESPEC IF I LOSE IT IN 2 LVLS? This is really stupid and highly annoying, this damn game´s NOT for SOLELY lvl 50s, or at least not in my eyes! Of course ppl will complain, why not do as other games, make a quest of respec, as if it´s that hard.

Now to this tradeskill crap, so I must make another alt to craft? When will we have 8 chars in one accout (in Europe... 2004)? Or it´s ANOTHER "MIGHT ADD" or "might not add" promise?! And of course nobody noticed that u need a ONE single point in siegecraft to operate any siege wpn! Noche has got exactly ONE point in all tradeskills and specced in wpncraft, in my mind it´s SOLELY for siege wpns!

WTG Mythic, a that easy stuff to code, and that TOUGH decision sure sure.

oooh two good points there! :)

one, you brought up the thing about siege craft and the 1pt god mode :p, you only need 1pt to actually BUILD any siege weapon i may add, you can afterall, buy the parts at the merchant keeps afterall.

note that there's another problem with siege craft, that is the following, and note that one of our highly skilled crafters in the red dragons left because of this on top of the rest of it, it is: not being able to make ammo on top of everything else btw, along with some other reasons, you can make an entier bloody catapult, everything there is to make it, but you can't do your own ammo! you can make a siege engine which fires spears, yet although you can create spears with weapon craft, you can build the entier siege weapon with 1pt of siege craft, you can't make the f*cking spear ammo!!!!!!!!!

now, the other good point, making a quest of respec! i hadnt thought of that, but shiiiiiiiiiiit! that would be a hell of a good thing! some insanely hard quest (not hard as in really hard mobs to gank, i mean a hard QUEST! not fights) that takes ages, but let's face it, the prize would be worth it, now THAT would be a good one!

btw, they haven't said we MAY bring the 8 char slots thing in, they've actually guarantee'd it... which does bode well, but i still dont think i should have to lose all my tailoring with charonel in order to do spell crafting well, but like i said, at least there's a decent reason this time :)

but i'd love a respec quest :clap:

They are bringing a quest in :)

Yesterday's announcement that there would be no trade reset resulted in some terrific feedback. In turn, the feedback resulted in further internal discussions. The outcome of those discussions? We are going to go ahead and spend the time needed from both a programming and customer service standpoint to allow people to reset their trade skills as we originally intended.

(Please remember – there has never been any discussion in terms of allowing people to reassign their tradeskill points. We are only talking about a reset, a “zeroing out” of an unwanted trade skill. That’s what we’re going to follow through with, my July 12th reference to the trade reset.)

I do not have very many details. I know that it will be a short quest, that entirely takes place within your home city. I know it will be a one time only thing, which you can never, ever repeat. I know that we're trying to design this "reset to zero quest" so all the customers who do not craft will not be affected. I know that there are developers working on it right now, but that there is no firm ETA on when we can get the quest into the game.

But - it is our intent to have it in the game either before or concurrent with the release of Spellcrafting/Alchemy. That is an intention backed with the force of everyone here.
